Today I almost doubled my total wattage to 2800 watts. Increased from 1500 watts. Unfortunately right now I only have 4 ga wire running from the battery to the distribution block where I really need 1/0. So for a couple of days I can't blast it. I can't wait until I get the wire and then blow my subs because then I get to get new ones

Do you have a stock alt? If so, you won't see close to that 2800 watts no matter what guage wire you have. Now get a 200+ amp alt, a batcap or two, and upgrade the wiring and you'll be in business.

It also depends on the sensativity of the car's alarm. I remember I set off this alarm at my school's parking lot when iIonly had my volume at 15 (Kenwood HU).

I said I have 2800 total watts. I don't want to see that figure either in fear of very bad things.

I hear ya...just wondering why you'd go from 1500 to 2800 if you have a stock elec system when most likely you weren't even seeing the 1500?
