are those ebay alarms really reliable. for all that it comes with it sorta seems a lil to good to be true at that price. how is the quality, and is it easy for a intruder to disarm it

i got a clifford matrix rsx 3.5 off ebay... the autopage is a pretty good alarm and works just as good as the rest.. has a few nifty features too.. you could get the autopage at your local car shops as well.. At least here most of them carry autopage so its not a bad alarm.

I got Prestige APS996a 2way alarm with remote start from www.autotoys.com. They give a free glass break sensor and shipping is free if you pay with paypal and use PAYPALFREE code at checkout with $100+ order. My friend has it on his 2002 altima and he loves it. I didnt install mine yet, but I will this weekend.

If going with DEI (Viper,Clifford, etc) Go to your local dealer. You may pay an extra couple of bucks, but at l;east youll have the warranty. Those lines are all protected and are Not to be sold without installation.

In either event If you do end up getting it online a store would typically charge about $200+ for the install as they arent supposed to be installing it.

You aren't supposed to, but technically you can. You are supposed to park manuals in gear. That's why they say you can't put a remote start on a manual.

You should be able to get remote start with a 5-speed as long as they put a sensor in so it knows your in neutral and they disable whatever makes it so you have to put the clutch in to start. Otherwise you'll find you car stalled on the other side of the street .
