What size speakers do the 4th Gens use? I don't have the Bose system, just the regular four speaker cassette unit. I think that my front speakers are blown because I heard rattling when I play music at higher volume. A friend is offering me some used speakers for a good price, but i want to know what sizes are used in the front and back.

Thanks.

6 1/2s or 6 3/4. If you go to Crutchfield.com you can specify your vehicle and you will see diferent speakers available for your vehicle and their sizes. But Crutchfield prices can be a bit high.

Best regards, tony

Ok...but Crutchfield list all types of sizes >>

Are all four of the speakers round 6.5" units? Or are they different from front to back?

Crutchfield lists stuff from 3.5" to 4"X6" to 6.5"...it's kind of confusing since I just want to replace the size with another of the same size.

They are all 6.5 but actually when buying from Crutchfield, you should buy a 6.5S, because the speakers in the MAX are actually 6.75. You can use 6.5, but they are slightly small. This can be fixed with a simple 1\4" plywood trim ring you can cut out to make it fit with no gaps.
