i need advice on an audio issue

hi everyone. i was wanting some advice on my future plans for my audio system. i have the parts already i am just waiting on my box. i am installing 2 12 inch kicker comp speakers in a dual ported box. i also have a 300 watt kicker impulse amp. the only place for all of this is of course the trunk. however, i am afraid of the rattle i will get. i hate hearing those p.o.s. cars driving around with a rattling trunk. i want to prevent this from happening to me. what can i do?

thanks

as long as you cant hear it, who cares there is no way to stop all the rattles with a decent system.

Well I don't agree with these guys totally. I had in my previous car (Malibu 00' dont laugh) 2 kicker L7's 12" powered by two jbl 1200.1's amps. I had a rattle that would make you want to kill yourself. But I got rid of it all except for my rear view mirror which wasn't that bad when I had it up. Except for my mirror keep falling off. The best way to rid your problems is to find out exactly what is rattling. I dynamatted my whole trunk and was wondering why I still had rattles. But you have to play and listen to where it is coming from. On my malibu I had three layers of extreme dynamat in my trunk all at certain spots. I had no more rattles . Now next week I start the project on the Maxima. I doubt I will have that much problems stopping it, I've heard a couple of Maxes with systems and it didn't sound half as bad as some cars.

yea it is hard to make the rattle stop but i have got it down to where i can't hear it in the car at all and it sound soo clean no fart. From the outside it does vibrate but you can tell it is being dampend with dynamat.....like they are short buzzez not long fart noises. Direction of sub also plays a part. If u fire it forward though the port hole you get less buzz but you lose that deep "Romp" from the sub.
