Does anyone have their remote wire spliced in with the power antenna wire so it still goes up when the cd player is turned on?

Is this dangerous to the amp?

As of now my remote is run directly to the amp, I left the power antenna wire free for now. But I get *** reception so I am wondering options for hooking it back up.

I dont wanna hurt my amps.

You should actually have the power antenna trigger wire connected to the power antenna trigger at the back of your deck. If you've got an aftermarkiet headunit without a power antrenna trigger then you can use the remote output that would feed your amps.

And no, it won't hurt anything to wire it as Canuck said. that's the way 90% of stereo installs are done.

If U go that route, however, I would suggest using a relay to step up the voltage a bit. It's been my experience that this wire is usually only rated to handle so much of a load. Although, for normal (non-competition) purposes, you should be fine.
