HU Removal

HU Removal

Ok, s i bought my Type R subs the other day and an RF 1001bd amp. Now my current amp is running off of highlevel inputconnectore but this new amp doesnt have that and i need to buy a high level converter. this included hooking it upto my HU i believe. how do i remove it?

you dont really have to connect it to the h/u, you can use the wires from the speakers in the rear deck. just look up the wiring colors for your car, see which ones are rear right + and - and rear left + and -. you will see the little bose amp next to each speaker if you look at the bottom side of the rear deck (looking at the rear deck from inside the trunk) Tap into the appropriate speaker wire colors and theres your source for the high-low converter. This will be much easier then removing the head unit.

i looked at my high levbel input wires they are spliced into the wires going to the speaker. what is the metal **** at the bottom of the cover? and when i get the converter i can trust do it in the trunk right? off of the high level input wires?

u gotta be more descriptive about the metal ****

and yeah u can just use the high level input wires. however, in my opinion, the thing that contributes most to your music is the head unit. Not only clearer sound for speakers, but subs will greatly increase cuz youll get a clear unamplified signal going to the subs with the rca cable.

i wired it up to the converter and it sounds better i have to admit. i cant really describe the metal at the bottom, it has wires comming out of it. i have seen anything like that for speakers b4, unles its a powersource of some kind
