Navigation question particularly alpine

Hey all,

I've been interested in putting a monitor in my car for a while, but one of my hangups was that if I was to do it I wanted Navigation, so I was looking at the Alpine CVA-1004 (1003) units, as they would give me what I was looking for. I either haven't found the CVA-1004 for the price I'm willing to pay or I'm being too damn cheap (likely) Either way, my question is this...will the Alpine Navigation unit interface with other monitors? or just Alpine units? I'm considering a Redmax type screen if this is possible.

Thanks in advance!

I have the Pioneer Navi and I know that it's only compatible with a pioneer screen. I love it because it's touchscreen

Pioneers, Alpines, and Kenwoods can all be used with aftermarket screens; however, the picture quality is horrible. I had the Pioneer AVIC-80DVD with an aftermarket screen, so I know. I now have the Kenwood NAVI with a Kenwood screen, and now the picture is crisp now.
