best door panel speakers for >$200
best door panel speakers for >$200
sup, i own a 3rd gen max and am clueless as to which route to take in choosing speakers. the stock bose's are 4x6, so im guessing thats what imma replace them with so i wont have to mod, however that really limits my choices and basically rule out components. it'd be nice to hear what some of you guys think i should go for to give me the best bang for my buck, and if you wanna give your 2 cents about good 6x9 replacements for the rears im all ears. however right now im leaning toward alpine type s 4x6's for the front and type r 6x9s for the back, and for the record i dont have any good stereo shops to go and give any speakers a trial run, thats why im lookin for some good imput.
Actually 3rd gens With Bose house a 4" speaker. Non Bose cars have 4X6. It is easy to modify for 5 1/4 components and 6.5s can be done as well, although I encourage you to build baffles for the 6.5s rather than trying to use the factory baffle.
The term "best" is up for specualtion as different people have different tastes. If you provide us with more info ie: what type of music you listen to, what your trying to actually achieve by replacing them, budget, etc Im sure we can help out.
