Well I want to put my audiobahn AW1251T 12" sub (400 rms) in a box and I dont know what kind. Should i get the ported, slanted or perfect cube?

Does it matter where I buy the box from or are they all the same?

 

how many watts is the sub getting and what are the recommended box sizes from audiobahn? all boxes are not created equal. but we'll get into this after we find out the box specs for your sub.

 

the sub is 800 watt max and 400 rms.. the amp matches that (audiobahn amp)

I honestly don't know where to find the recomended box sizes =/

 

did it come with an owners manual? it should be in there. and im gonna say a sealed box is probably a best bet for that sub to get some sq out of it.

nope, it should be placed in the recommended range of internal air volume.

 

i checked circuit city for specs and they said between 1-2cuft for sealed assuming i found the right sub in the link above. so look for a box closer to 1cuft so you can have better power handling with that sub.

Who is trying to sell you a perfect cube? That's like the worst shape ever. All the dimensions should be different. That's why they usually have a slanted side too, to make those two sides different dimensions.
