need a new sub

I currently have audiobahn subs and they suck ***, i need 2 10' subs or 1 12" inch sub. My price range is around 100, I know its low but cant do better than that right now. I seen two rockford fosgates http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/ROCP110S42PAK
looked like a good deal to me. Let me know guys. BTW i have a kenwood amp that does about 450 watts bridged.

In what way do the Audiobahn subs suck? If you tell us what you do not like about them, and what you want in a sub, we may able to help you better.

Audiobahn is like the "rice" of the car audio world. Ill let you sum up what that means. In all honesty, save you $100, add to it and when you have enough get youself a very good sub. If you want something asap, PG subs are awesome but id still save up and get something better like Eclipse Alums, RE XXX, Adire Brahma, ect... Adire actually just came out with Koda subs but only the 10" is availble until august I belive.

You should see the size of the magnet on them my mids have larger magnets I belive xmax is like 4-5mm so it wont take much to pop these. 1200w with a 20hz test tone should unload them...like so...

If you are after sound quality JL WO's are nice speakers. I think a 12" goes for a little over $100 dollars, or you can save up and get two 10's they are a little less than the 12". They are both rated at 125 Watts RMS but they can handle more than that. Still I would not run the 450 watt kenwood to just one woofer though. My friend just installed two 8" WO's in his Ford F-150 supercab. He used a Q-Logic box that goes underneath the rear passenger' seat. He is using a Kicker amp that I sold him, it is rated at 365 watts RMS at 4 ohm. He is running it at 2ohms bridged so its putting out over 400 watts, and the little woofers sound very nice. I was honestly impressed with the output, and how clean they sounded. Go to a local dealer and listen to them.

Kicker subs are also pretty good(I have on myself ), the Kicker 12" Comp VR cab handle 400 watts RMS (It cost about $150 dollars or so).

I gave you my true .02 in post #8. Do with it as you wish, but IMO there are no good SQ subs in that price range. If you cant do any better right now, thats fine. Save you money and do better later. You dont have to feed a sub 1000+ to get it to sound nice. I had only 400 going to mine and it was louder then most every setup ive heard with 1500+ going to them. So even if you use your same amp your fine, just get a good sub. I cant recommend anything under $100 for SQ, it just doesnt exist.

well....if RF still had the HE lines, i'd say get the 10" and amp it with 200 watts in a .80 cubic ft sealed box. they went for 109 a piece. I have two of them with a 470 watt amp pushing them and it sounds pretty good.

I have the perfect sub for you. AN elemental desisngs O. 12", dvc 4 ohms. 500 rms/750max. It's an sq sub and sounds great. I have one that was only used for 2 weeks. I can do it for $165 plus shipping. Check my www for pics.

Either of ^^^those two^^^ would be a good choice. You'll have "enough" bass and it should be of good quality at that. Looks like Ben at ED has been busy re-designing all his subs.
