12 Inch Sub/Custom (Pics)

Hey, I wanted to add a little bass into my car so i decided to wire up a 12 inch sub woofer. I bought the box and sub and amp, and i built a custom fit box for my trunk to hold my amp and the actual sub box check it out.

Not to shabby, but it looks like you have completely sealed off the back portion of your trunk. If you open up the plastic center piece behind the arm rest in the back seat can the sound still come through ok? I notice a tremenous difference in bass when the rear arm rest is down & the plastic access cover open. Nice work, looks pretty clean. You may want to consider some slightly higher quality equiptment in the future!!!

I don't notice any difference in bass with my rear armrest up or down. With the armrest down, the cabin opens up into the trunk (I took out the plastic piece).

Looks very clean, if you bought that box id pull the sub out and run some caulking around the edges of the box (inside obviously ), just to make sure its sealed up 100%. Ive never seen a pre-fab box perfectly sealed...& yeah it will make a diff.

Push down on the sub, it should be difficult to push it down (dont push too far) due to the air compressing. When you let go the sub should pop right back out, but if it s-l-o-w-l-y creeps back out then its got a leak and need to be sealed off.
