What got damaged?
97 max, the factory alarm LED to the left of the steering wheel.
I popped out the panel, pulled out the plug. Next thing I know the screwdriver somehow shorted out between the leads on the plug. I plugged the LED back in and it lit, so I thought nothing blew. However, night fell and I noticed that now the LED was dim to the point of it barely being visable. Not only is it barely visable, it stays on while driving and when the alarm is unarmed. I took out my voltmeter, and instead of being 12v like it was before the incident with the screwdriver, it now fluctuates between 7.1v and 5v as it flashes when a door is opened.
So did I damage a relay? If so, where is it located and what do I replace it with?
Thanks.
