pics of my new setup

It just needs a bit of tidying but here it is. SQ is very good and it is plenty loud enough for me.
The box is very compact and quite creative as well (can I use that word here).
Anyway here it is
Boston Acoustics RC620 system up front.
Infinity 6502i in rear doors
JL Audio 12W3v2 sub
Soundstream E5700 amp

Pic below is from the inside taken through the rear seat armrest (obviously)

Looks nice! Can you take some pics with more lighting? And also, is the sub box and amp rack all one piece?

Nice and clean, nice job. In the process of seeting up my trunk but trying to put a 15 is presenting a bit of a challenge to do it cleanly

I thought about doing a 15 and to tell you the truth I could have easily done it but the sub would have been centered and I would have used 2 smaller amps on either side to run things. It should not be that hard just take your time and build it right the first time. Remember there is lots of room behind that seat.

The lighting is just a single 18" blue neon tucked away so you cant see it. The sub box and amp rack are one piece but there is a second 3/4 inch 'faceboard' to which the amp and sub are actually attached. It looks fairly simple from the outside but it is a very complex box with some odd trapazoid style angles. Basically the box was custom made to fit the exact shape of that space behind the seat and a long thin box was added to the front of this box to allow bothj the sub and amp to fit on. I will try and take a closeup pic from inside the box through the plexi but you still won't get a good idea. It is very hard to explain the shape (obviously). At the end of the day the internal volume of the box is about 1.38 cu ft. It is recomended that the sub has 1.25 so I am off a bit but not enough to make substantial difference. I am very impressed with the overall SQ of the system.

Hey I'm going to be purchasing the 9830 HU soon, how much was it? I was looking for something in the $300-$350 range....what is your overall impression with that HU?

Thanks,
Ryan

Sounds like a fun box to make, I do quite a bit of woodworking things (used to be my job) but for myself right now for a 15 just going to put it upfiring to simplify things as I dont want to make to custom of a box as a temporary thing. Plan to make a fiberglass box once I finish getting all my components and am happy with how I want it layed it.

Cool, thanks! I'm trying to get ideas so I can change my current set-up.
