Audio err codes

Audio err codes
I have 02 SE with standard audio. The CD player won't accept a CD but the display first shows track 1 ..... then after a pause it shows err code 3.
Anyone know what err code 3 means or what this might be casued by? The rest of the system works fine - radio, cassette and all controls.
