has anybody done a custom install of an ipod in their maxima? i've seen on apple's website a new option to have the ipod plug into bmw's and i think it would be cool if we could do that with our maxima's. just curious if anybody has and if so how they did it. thanks.

 

I have one in my car, what I did was screw an open-faced case into the armrest, then I drilled a hole for the wire to go under the console. Another hole was drilled by the stereo where the wire comes out and goes into the aux jack. Now the ipod pops in and out and the only thing you see is the wire coming out near the stereo. I can put up pics if this doesn't make sense. It works well and looks decent.

 

oh ya, could you post up pics please? my brother actually might do this, but i don't believe there is an aux jack in the factory stereo headunit (it's non bose in a 2003 SE). thanks.
