should I replace my HU or just get an FM-mod. Sirius controller? Help needed!
Okay, please excuse my complete ignorance when it comes to all things car audio related. I have a 2000 Infiniti i30t and want Sirius satellite radio.... but I have no idea how to decide whether it's best for me to add a satelllite radio tuner or to replace my factory Bose headunit. I was thinking about replacing my HU with an Alpine that has integrated satellite radio, but they only offer XM and I definitely want Sirius. My impression is that the better car audio manufacturers only offer XM-- is that right?
Further, I don't want to replace my factory speakers/amp-- would a better HU be wasted on my Bose equipment?
Finally, if an FM-modulated tuner is the right solution, is there a significant sound difference between wireless and non-wireless?
Thanks for any help.

Kenwood Excelon HU's are right up there with the Alpines in sound quality. Just make sure if you take the PNP route for satellite that you get a HARDWIRED FM MOD. It sounds much better than a normal fm mod.
