Bose head unit question.

I would like to purchase a bose CD/Tape headunit and put it in my wifes car. If I have the plug from the back of the bose headunit, can I just buy a harnes for her car and plug them together and have it work?

Does the Bose headunit have power in it or will it only work with the amplified bose speakers?

BASE LINE: I want to put the Bose Cd/Tape headunit into my wifes car and NOT Change the speakers. Will this work or do I need to amplify the speakers somehow?

Thanks everyone.
