Forget your rear speakers. Send decent speakers in front decent power. Dampen and seal your doors and be done with it. Audio is not meant to be surround sound, it's meant to be in "stereo"...left and right channel. With decent power (not even that much really), you'll get the volume you need out of front speakers. Take the money you would have spent on rear speakers and seal and dampen your doors and watch your midbass go boom.

nothing is wrong with Rear Speakers.. most people don't use them because you use yoru Rear for Mid Bass and most people don't pay attention to their music enough to notice the frequency differences.. so a Sub and front speakers are good enough for thme.

I have Diamond Audio M561's in my front and Diamond Audio HEX in my rear along with an IDMAX 12 D4 .. and trust me.. with that sub.. it makes a hell of a lot of difference with the Rear Speakers.

Rear speakers are typically about opinion. I for one enjoy having rear fill as opposed to an empty sound in the rear...No midbass at all from the rear leaves a really "empty" sound in betweem bass and front stage.

To answer your original post...a component set does not cover front and rear, rather just your 4 front speakers.

depends on the speakers.. most won't need an AMP.. some sound better with an AMP.. I run 2 Kicker KX 240.2's .. one for front and one for rear speakers.
