Wiring rca's to a JBL BP600.1, not sure how...
Yesturday I got a Clarion DXZ845MC deck and I installed it last night and the bass doesn't seem to be hitting as much as it did when I had my system wired to my stock non-bose headunit. I have a JBL BP600.1 and 2 12" Infinity Kappa Perfects.
I've gone through all the bass, gain, frequency settings, and made sure I ran the pair of rca's from the amp to the subwoofer rca input on the deck. The only thing I wasn't sure about was how to run the rca's into the JBL BP600.1 mono amp. I put "Y" rca adaptors on the end of both rca's and ran them to the amp. So that now I have 2 pairs of rca's going to the amp. This is what my friend who is a Clarion/JBL dealer told me to do. Is this the right/best way of wiring it?
My friend also checked the settings on the amp (input level, gain, frequencey) and adjusted them to his recommendations and still the subs don't hit that good. I'm also getting popping/crackling noises from the speakers and subs when I have the volume around 2 or 3. Any ideas as to the causes of this? Thanks.

Thats the same way i have my JBL 600.1 setup. I have one 12" W6v2 and i bought 2 "Y" adapters and just hooked it up. Maybe the reason why its not hittin hard is cuz u two subs, and the JBL 600.1 is a mono amp.
It bumps hella good in my car though, i love the setup.

the JBL only needs one pair of RCA's going to it.
I had one too.
It would be less loud if there was only 1 rca as opposed to two.
Possibly your old converter from the stock deck boosted the voltage up to the amp so it was louder, or maybe the louder bass you were hearing was just distortion.
Search through your decks options and turn up the non fading level, nr, bass level, or whatever they call it on clarions. That could be it too.
