i have the premier dehp-860mp i dont have that stupid sfeq i dont like it, its just basically another LOUD level on off and sfeq, the only good thing about it is that its adjustable. anyways i use my hpf but i just changed it up and am using the hpf off my amp for my fronts and my hpf off the headunit for the rears. I have a 13 band eq on my radio and i have it all set up with tons of mids n highs, i love it loud and clear.

sfeq off, loudness off. hpf at 80, lpf at 80. sub control at +6 (maxed out). no fade, low is flat, mid is flat, high is +3. bass is flat, treble is +2 @6.3khz all on my 8500. i set my gain to about 45-48 but i cant bear to sit in my car with it that high.

I have the DEH-P440:

It has EEQ. I use different custom settings for CD and FM/Sirius. CD is flat except for +1 on the low end and Sirius is flat except for +2 on the low end.

I set the sub control at +1 with the crossovers at 125Hz.
