Bose speaker size holes

Bose speaker size holes

I am going to convert from bose to none bose. what size speaker will i need for the front and rear?

6.5S or 6 3/4 all the way around.

what do you mean when you say "S" is therre anyway to make them other sizes?

You can remove the plastic mounts that the Blows speakers are in and make an MDF baffle for each speaker, in which case you can cut the hole for any size speaker. You shouldn't go any smaller than 6.5", though, because you'll lose midbass. I enlarged the holes in the rear deck and installed 8s.

so there are 6.5 in there already?, how about the fornt, would 4 6.5 all around sound nice?

Yes, that's what you should get. I would get a sub, as well.

If you have an Aftermarket Headunit and installed 4 6.5's (Infinity, Kicker or Polk) with A & B pillar tweeters. Would that be louder than the Bose system originally was or would I need to get an amp and sub as well?

It would probably not be as loud, and would most likely have less midbass and very little low bass. I always recommend a sub and outboard amplification for all speakers. That's the only way to get good sound. But it depends on what you are after.
