I'm wondering the same thing for a 3rd gen. looks like under the battery would be good, but is super hard to drill down there. I've also heard of people putting them behind a front bumper, but you'd have to remove a fair amount of stuff likely. Anyone have any suggestions?

well you have a ve, you have a lot more room in the engine bay that a vg does, somewhere between the battery and engine, or behind the grille

On the firewall near the VIN number works perfectly fine. Easy to mount there and virtually impossible for a potential theif to access without opening then hood.
