4-way Pioneer 6 1/2 speakers

Hi I bought these speakers sometime ago and I installed them myself. When my cousin heard they way they sounded he pointed out to me that they sound as if I might have crossed the wires during installation. He says "If just one of your speakers has their wire crossed they all will sound like it". Is this true? I mean I can hear what he is talking about but I have no idea on how to fix it. Can any one help me? I have a non bose 1997 Gxe. If anyone can help me with the appropriate wiring method i would be more tha greatful.

Does it sound like you have no bass at all? If so, its your polarity. Just reverse the wires to one of the speakers.

Yea I do have an aftermarket HU. I don't really understand what you mean by polarity. I am sorry I am new at this. If it is possible can you explain a little more in depth?

did you get a wiring harness (or use one when installing the HU)? if you did it should be real easy to hook up the speakers... each speaker gets 2 specific wires, if you get 1 of the 2 correct wires to the speaker its gonna be a lot quieter
