a run-down of my problem

i'm a noob w/car electronics and i'm currently disconnecting my HU from my dash. as i posted before, there hasn't been any sound coming from my speakers using cds or radio.

what should i be looking for that would tell me something isn't right?? the adapters look ok. should i remove the back paneling from the HU and look inside the HU?

thanks.

i haven't touched it. i took out the dash and looked at the back of the HU and everything looked ok.

a friend said it could be the factory amp. if that's the case, how do i test for power? do i need any special tools?

I'm not really an expert on fixing Bose HUs, but does the HU display light up when it's on?

I dunno, but I've heard the head units go bad. Also the amps on the bose speakers could have easily all gone out, something to maybe check into if you havent already.
