Dome Light Question

i was wondering what's the voltage in a 96 maxima dome light. i wanted to switch the light to a brighter LED and the manual only says the wattage. Nissan said they don't know either. i wonder if anyone has done anything like this before.

Sorry if that was a sh!thead answer, but every light bulb runs off of 12V hence your 12V car battery.

So you just want to replace the dome light festoon type bulb with a led type bulb? Well, autolumination.com makes festoon bulbs with leds in them for this type of application. I can tell you right now, don't plan on it being still usable as the light output will be significantly less if you change to a color. The size is 3175 festoon, it's the one 1 1/4" long.
