I got a question about what i should get in my trunk

ok, so i have a head unit (Kenwood KDC-176S) and i have the regular stock speakers in the front doors, and i have boston accostics rm6's in the back. so i was wondering what i should get in the trunk...i don't want to spend a ton on money i want to just have my music (rap/hip-hop) to sound good. i have about 400-500 bucks to spend...

ohh ya remember i am 17 years old...

For that price you could do a Kicker Solobaric and a nice mono amp. I just installed a similar setup in mine and am very impressed. Still fine tuning it but getting closer.

i say get a JLw6 and a nice mono amp to push that. for the money JL isnt too bad, i presonally prefer Image Dynamics. I am soon going to try out some Brahma's to see what the hype is all about. alipine type r's arent bad either u can do a nice 10 or 12 with a 350 watt alpine mono amp for about 4-500 bux

Maybe if he took the Fleabay/no warranty whatsoever route...Otherwise with a good amp to pair up with it, hell be beyond his budget.

pearl is right on. otherwise, a mbq discus 12 with a rf mono amp. you would have to shop around and you could find it authorized for less than that. install it yourself and you could get some nice speakers for the front.

A DD Audio 1012 sub with a Kicker KX 400.1 amp would be pretty nice.

www.ddaudio.com, call them theyll tell you where you can get a sub near you.

Id just go ebay for the amp...

Just trying to expand the options.

Oz Matrix Elite 12
Image Dynamics IDv.3

All of those subs are 150 or less and will make you smile. As for amps, find something used on ebay or forum classifides. Don't forget, you have to buy wiring and a box.

first off...

consider, switching your rears to the front...better sound stage in front, less SQ and volume is needed for rear fill...you got enough input to deal with on the amp/sun question, just thought it might help....anyone else agree?

...A ZR1000, 1,000-1500 watts can be had for under $300 in many cases....sometimes even refurbed...and unless an idiot installed them and an even bigger idiot used it, they will last longer than a twinkie
