so i shouldnt waste my money doing it? yo eric i might get some money soon, should i get an 8band crossover with gain controller from kicker, or another dual 2ohm cvr and run both in parallel so my amp could push out 400watts?

no xover. if you plan on ever upgrading to lets say a 500 watt rms amp or more id go 4 gauge but now 8 is cool.

Gauge rating for power is required by amplifiers according to its power rating and amperage. It has nothing to do with sound, just amp stability during operation. Bigger gauge and better grounding lets the amp run cooler but location and orientation is a factor.
