I just got my 2001 Maxima a week ago and i love it. So, time to install the audio setup. I have always done this stuff myself in the past, but it was on older car, that if i didnt do everything perfect, it didnt really matter, because they were ****ty cars. So for my amp wiring i am having it Professionally installed, because i dont want to mess up my trim panels and such. However, i want to install my dvd/cd player and screen myself. I just got an Alpine 6.5" screen single DIN unit and an alpine dvd/cd player single din unit. I was planning on just putting the dvd player under the screen, as doing this is cheaper than those all in one dvd player/screen sets. I just got to thinking about how i am going to wire it, so both the dvd player and screen get power, and such. This weekend will be the first time i take the dash apart and i have found pretty good tutorials on this, so i dont think it will be a problem. I am just wondering what mods i am going to have to do to get both of the peices to work. Has anyone done this or something similiar and can give me some tips, so it looks nicely done? Any tips will be greatly appreciated.
