Hard wire a Garmin GPS?
L&G,
I purchased a Garmin 2620, and would like to hard wire it...the speaker/lighter plug wire draped over the console ruins the "look" of the interior.
I was thinking about running the wire from the fuse block through the defroster grill, and mount the unit in the center of the dash... any comments on this approach would be appreciated.
In addition, I'm hoping I can plug the speaker jack into the radio for the audio.. please confirm this...
I just ordered the hard wire harness.
I have an '04 3.5 SL Black/black.
BTW, I had the shimmy when I took ownership (300 miles)... armed with the forum posts, I went to the dealer (my first post-purchase trip in 3 Maximas dating back to 1990) told them I want them to just read the posts and fix the car...they hemmed and hawed, but followed my request... the car is a bit tight, but smooth as silk. My only problem now is a mirror memory with Alzhiemers... I'll drag it back some day for a check up.
Thanks in advance fo ryour help and comments.
