Sony or Infinity?

ok i happened to stumble upon some infinity and sony open box buys at a local shop, both are 2 way 5 1/4 inch.

none of them have grilles which is fine i am trying to keep the illusion of being stock and alot of the times grilles look like crapo any way

which would be better?

i dont know about you guys, but my past experiences with sony are horrible. Ive never owned one myself, but friends going the cheap way buying them have not been a good decision. They burnout easily and are not really reliable for years to last. I would personaly go with infinity all the way

Ok, here is a very informed opinion. Since infinity doesn't make headunits expect for OEM dodge and such, go with Pioneer. I have been running two different Pioneer headunits for 6.5 years, absolutely no problem. And for speakers, PLEASE! Infinity no doubt, you should but whisper the word "Sony" when you mention Infinity.

But does Infinity really make the source units...doubt it. They are probably buying pre-made source units from the same source as Clarion and Pioneer. They may make the speakers though and just tag the rest of the system as Infinity. A lot of automobile makers do this. I doubt Bose made all of the components for Nissan. Not in their best interest. OK, I've gone off on a tangent. Pioneer for source unit and Infinity for speakers.....I'll keep quiet now.

Infinity all the way. After Infinity I would go Diamond of Focal, but otherwise their speakers are the by far the best bang for the buck.

Also if you can muster it, go 6.5"
