Audio system question

im building my own cutom system in my car....i have a couple questions...

right now i have the new pioneer premier 960 as my head unit

infinity component system for the front and infinty 3 ways that are gonng be pushed by a precision amp im installing all this, this weekend.

now the real question is on my bass system.......

i can go with 2 12 inch fosgates T1's or what ever they are with a rockfor amp or i can go with 1 15 same sub and everything else

OR

i can go with a 2 12 inch kicker solobaric L7's the newest ones out with a kicker mono block amp or 1 15 L7......what do u guys think between thoes 2 brands

and of course im doing a custom box in the trunk and dynomatting the whole car....

let me know what u guys think

im not really worried about the price...i did have the new kenwood excelon dvd as my head unit but i took it back cause i hate kenwood and didn't see the need for the dvd player, so i went back to pioneer.

what are you really looking for a lot of bass, or subs that are goign to hit fast? The solobric's are sweet. It depends on the music you listen to, for hip hop 12in or 15in are good, but for rock, metal, techno, dual 10in solobarics are just sweet, they hit fast and sound good dont get all blurbly cause the sub cant keep up with the bass notes. Also ya might want to ask this question in the audio forum part they can probably answer it better.

For the money you are going to spend you can get 1 RE Audio XXX or a MMATS Juggernaut 12" and put all of those subs to shame.

L7's are the ones Kicker made to compete against JL Audio's 12 & 13.5 W7. Only difference is that the W7 can sound pissy after awhile. I heard and been in a couple of different cars that either had L7's or W7's and the L7's by far sounded a hell of a lot better. I have 2 10" DVC (RF HX2 equivalent) that hit the back of my car harder than any other sub I have owned, including old school Orion's and JL W6's. Setup plays a major part as well. You are doing good to Dynamat or whatever sound deadener you are using because the trunk rattles like a snake when your bass hits. Don't forget to sound proof the rear deck lid as well. But IMO I would probably go with the L7's.

I am going to have to agree. SPL is nice, but a combination of SPL and SQ is the best. Try a XXX or a Brahma 15.
