In-deck CD Player Problem
Hey, I have an old Pioneer system on my Max. Im not sure of the exact model, but I think the system was from 93'. It came with a face that had cassette, CD, and radio. 6X9 speakers, 12-CD changer, an amp, a subwoofer, and some speakers in the trunk. The amp died awhile ago, and my girl broke the CD changer. So basically Im stuck with the face, and 4 speakers where one of them is cracked. The problem is, I could never get the CD player in the deck to work. Even when I had the 12-CD changer, it didn't work. Tape works, radio, but no CD. When I put a CD in, the face lights come on, it says "Error" on the screen. Right after the whole thing shuts off and it slides the CD right back out to me. I checked in the manual what it could be.. In the troubleshooting, it identified my problem as "Hardware not connected." Anyway, I use to work at an autoglass place which also did car acceceries.. So I asked my boss if I could make the CD player in the deck work and he said "No". He jokes around alot so sometimes I can't get a straight answer from him. Now I don't work there anymore and still don't know if I could fix this CD player or not. Does anybody have any ideas? Thanks.
