i have been through 3 head units... a clarion a sony and now i have an alpine. the first too i got from friends and then later on sold them. they sounded good with the bose, now the thing is someone told me that the bose speaker will burn up the hu because it runs at 1ohm? and the hu runs at 4? is this true? the only reason i ask is because i have bose in my rear deck and is powered by the hu. thanks for any input im just making sure i dont mess up my hu, it been about 3 months now with the alpine and sounds great.

 

If you are using an interface between the HU and the Blose system, then the HU is not powering the speakers. Each speaker has its own amp for power (I think newer Maximas have one amp for all the speakers). So that person is wrong.
