Stock I30 Navigation

I have a question. I have a 2001 Infiniti I30, and I wanted to know if there was any way I could get the stock (optional) navigation that comes with my car, or would I have to get something aftermarket. The reason is that I kind of wanted to keep the stock Bose look in the radio.

i went to infiniti today. they said because of all the relays, etc. if the car doesnt come with it, it cant be retrofitted. i read where another member just bought the setup minus the monitor, but according to them (Dealer) it cant be installed.

... well according to the dealer alot fo things cant be done to cars.. cause there all about plug and play.. not abobut custom.. cause it voids warranty if u custom.. now if u have the parts.. any GOOD electical shop (car shop) can do a custom install .. cause if you really think about it.. all the car has to do it provide the flippin power to the system(navi, radio, lazer cannon,etc.. ) the rest is self contained.. its not like the navi needes to be connected to a special ECU that only comes wiht the navi models..

Anything is possible, its just if your willing to pay the amount to have it done. Aftermarket will Always offer Alot more features, and after labor charges pricing will be similiar.

Aftermarket would have touchscreen,DVD,preouts,etc...None of which is available OEM.

"Customing" does Not void your warranty, its just a Huge False statement that dealers try to scare you with.

there are 2 reasons i wanted the OEM navi. 1, the line of work im n, im ALWAYS in the hood. i feel like the eclipse HU would be a sitting duck begging to be stolen. 2, i think its pretty dope how the OEM motorizes out of the dash & dont like how the N1 covers the vents...oh well cant have everything!

But the eclipse HUs don't cover the vents like those Pioneers do. I ahve a pioneer and it pissed me off like crazy. Get the eclipse AVN2454. Its in-dash just like the stock ones
