Im just curious, im trying to see if ill be ok running a 300 watt and 400watt amp.

combined they will be both be asking for 350rms watts. and 750 max.

 

me too. the stock alt is about 110 amps.
should be ok, try the big three: use 4 gauge wire but you should be able to get away with 8 gauge...
battery negative to engine
battery negative to chassis
battery positive to alternator

GXEs are 110. GLEs and SEs are 125 (more accessories).

I ran a 460 and 360 off of the stock alternator on a 94 gxe with no problems ever.

 

Hmm, I plan on running a 750 and a 450 on a stock alternator when they arrive tomorrow. Everyone told me it would be ok???

 

i'm running a 900 and a 440 with dimmage. arent 5.5's only supposed to have 105amps?
