IPOD Maxima Intergration

What's up people? For those of you with Ipod's, the apple website says a new intergration system for Nissan will be out later this year. I'm pretty happy about this considering my fm transmitter sucks pretty bad. Anyone have any thoughts about how this might work and if it's gonna be for just 2005-06 nissans or for all of us. Hopefully this kit is for all models....Ok, just wanted to share the info.

I'm sure it's just for 6th gens. There are already a couple of them out for 04-05's, so they can use their stock aux controls.

There is - sort of. Check out this thread . You can't use the seek buttons on the head unit or steering wheel but you can control the volume. There also seems to be some grounding problem that is producing a hissing sound.

I think if you are going to all the trouble of installing the Soundgate product you might as well get a new head unit instead. One with RCA jacks so you can plug your iPod into it. The only thing you have to worry about is powering the pod. But I guess you could skip that step and run on battery power only.
