Remote wire

For some reason my remote wire from my deck is not working. What other wire could I connect the remote wire to so I can get power to my amp when the radio comes on??

You can connect to the power wire from anything that runs off the accessory. Like the power side of the power windows. Anything that requires the key to be in the ignition and on ACC to run.

Depending upon the deck, you could use the ACC power wire for the deck. But I've found a couple of decks didn't work right when pulling from there, but that also depends upon how much power your amp requires for the remote.

ghetto quick fix way so that you dont have to pull out the HU and rewire-- on the amp itself, run a small wire from the 12v battery terminal to the remote terminal. this will only be a wire like 6''. i also put a switch in the middle. when u want the subs to work, turn the switch on. when u leave the car, turn the switch off. ghetto? yes. do my 2-12'' audiobahns still pound? yes. thats how we do.
