XM to increase their monthly subcription fee

There is no longer a price advantage for XM.

Even at a cheaper basic rate, forgetting the inconvenience of having to pay extra for "premium content", I think they realized they were losing the battle for new subscribers to Sirius and were just leaving money on the table! LOL

sirius's price will likely go up when sterns contract goes into effect... so xm will be back to a price advantage. Plus this helps market o&a to people reluctant to pay more for "premium" content

i dont care if xm was 5 bucks and sirius was 25 bucks, it is still worth it. I cant listen to my xm at all the songs i have no clue what they are and stern is much better than o & a (whoever they are), not too mention sirius has EVERY sport!

... OK, Terrific

1)I have both, sirius for music, xm for o&a.. they both have good and bad points..

2)sirius doesn't have every sport.. they have the nfl and nascar, xm has mlb

3)uping the price of xm like this makes both services pretty much equal, and it comes down to preference.. online streaming now free for both, premium channels now free for both.. xm has smaller equiptment, but only because they are an older service..

Ill clear up the confusion, Sirius sports include NCAA, NBA NFL, NHL (if it ever happens), Nascar. xm sports include MLB.
