speaker question?

im debating on what to replae my speakers with....my question is if i decide to get components, are they components good enough to the point where it would produce good enough bass so i woudnt have to get a sub for the trunk...i would like to keep my trunk clear of sub's....what do u guys think.
im thinking of getting components for the front and rear of the car..do u guys think this is overkill, or will it sound awesome??? thanks for all your help.

IMO you will def get more thump and better sound from componets simply becasue they are mini subs, cuz the tweeters are seperate in most cases. if you're not going to get subs, get really nice comps like Infinity Kappa Perfects or some kickass JBL or Bostons.

it would be really hard to get good sound from just compos and like two ways in the rear if you dont have teh bose system.....aka the 8"in sub....but i guess anything would be better than the stock stuff.

Its all in the install as well as the product.

My wife didnt even know thew subs werent on till I told her after I got done doing her car. A ton of dampning in all doors. Simple setup with DA D6 comps and D3 rear coaxs. A sufficient amount of midbass can please most ears.

Components would definately be the way to go. If you want some bass, i'd recomend a 6X9 component set. I know infinity makes one. I have some Alpine 5 1/4 Components (SPR-136a) that are for sale if your interested(Those would go up front with an adapter) I'd recommend Alpine though, great sounding and durable. I'd reccomend MB Quart too but only their old stuff before Rockford bought them out . I'd also recommend a good 4 channel amp for some clean power and tight bass to make the speakers really shine. Its DEFINATELY worth it! Good luck with your speaker hunt

6X9 or any other oval shaped speaker should not be used in a quality setup. Music is meant to be reproduced through a round cone. Anything else risks the loss of SQ in reproduction.

Aside from that 6X9 components would be a terrible thing to do to a Maximas doors.

Brands are all subjective to each persons ears, so I wont comment on the ones listed, but factually speaking there are much better products available out there.

^ not an uncommon practice. i do believe 1 of the RE sets recommends it. now go fix your system.
