Fading components to the front?!?!

I just recently put in my component system.. When i had my Bose speakers in I would regularly have them faded to the rear 1-2 on my HU and it would sound fine to me. Now that I have my components in I find that I enjoy the sound more if I fade it to the front 1 on my HU.. A friend of mine told me that since I have compionents I should leave it in themiddle or if anything fade to the rear. But my question is does anyone else fade thier system to the front and also are there any concerns to doing this.. Thanks alot.

It seems to me that fadint it the back would be similar to turning your back to the stage at a concert. I want t he music coming from in front of me.

THere is no set way of doing it, its all in what YOU like, just keep playing with it, I've had my system in over a week now and I'm far from having it tweaked the way I want it. Yes, I do ask a buddy to listen to it, he gives me advice, sometimes I like it, sometimes I try it and put it back, but in the end its what I want.

and I also like the music from the front, only thing in back is the bass. I don't even have my speakers in the rear doors hooked up.

I guess I'll just leave it a is or just adjust it as desired. I see how the question I asked really cant be answered by anyone else because it would be based on how it sounds to my own ears. It's so hard to desicribe but when I fade to the front 1 level the comonents seem to handle the song's highs better. .
Thanks though I will just adjust if it sounds like ti needs to be..
