YES another one joining the party!
uh-oh, i smell audio drama coming on

Anyway, to make my thread somewhat on topic lets have a vote for what I should get:

Diamond D971 7-inch components
or Fiberglass a Diamond 8CM3 into each door with other 6.5" components
There will be no rears in my next setup, if that matters to anyones reply

I know....Im kind of stuck on how to build out the door to get rid of that storage pocket, make it very sturdy, and build out the recessed area where u reach into the storage pocket, make that into a wall thats as far out as the door.

Any good ideas on how to get started with that? Cuz once I get to that point Im good, itd be easy from there, I think Id just vinyl over it once its done. Easier and looks cleaner IMO

Nah, if I ended up glassing the rear deck Id just use it for a port and to stop the damn rattle back there. Rather have some extra mid up front.

I am actually taking out the DA 600.1 and the subs. Threw in some rear 6X9s for nice midbass. She wanted to hear more from the rear

So now shes running the DA 400.4 to D661s D361s in the rear door off of the RAF and the 6X9s from channel 3&4..

Rich...overtime? never she doesnt care about me...LoL

Also had to rotate her tires.

Just the replacement with the 8 speakers and the little 400.4 make the BLose sound like a cheap set of headphones

I have some ideas. Give me a cal and we will meet up. That was my original plan. I will be back from Tally Sun. I can draw you what my ideas are easily. I have even given thought on how to construct the enclosure. We can get a sample door panel from the junk yard and experiment. I have a place to do it if your interested.

Definitely chris. Let me get my next paycheck first, since I worked my **** off over spring break, ill easily have a couple hundred to play with for whatever i want to get next. And yes, itll be nice to actually have a place to work, thats one thing that sucked about leaving home, I had a nice two-car garage to work on whatever I wanted.

BTW...got any free time? lol i see you posting up on TR and here a lot more....getting bored yet? haha

^^^ true that! hey chris, any chance you want to build a ported box with me next week? my friend wont answer his phone (he prolly knows the box will take awhile to build) and i really dont feel like going to HD to get the cuts done. i already have specific box plans made; just need the tools, some help, and a location to do the cutting at.

the new brahma will probably be cheaper than the current one. Its also not the flagship sub anymore, the tumult is. I highly doubt you can tell teh difference in a car of 2mm of xmax.

Your more than welcome to use the barn. Pleanty of space. No table saw though. The band saw took a dump on me as well. Lemme see what I can do about that. Any other tool imaginable is at my disposal.

Yeah, I get pretty bored. I am used to Tampa and it's pace. It is muuuuch slower around here. Just let me know when you get the funds and we can work on getting that test door panel.

Thats funny cuz the moderator on the ICE threads has the same name as you. I guess they want their org to have good advisors like we do. or i guess kinda make us feel like home.

seriously i see alot of post of some lowend products, why dont you make a sticky of good products, and products not to get? You know our NYers like all that cheap shiet

Technically it would still be opinion based, although theres tons of facts that can prove one product over another, some people would still get bent out of shape and/or feel insulted.

well...i just could not stand looking at my sub and not having it up and running before i come back to gville, so i went to HD. to my utter surprise, everything they cut was PERFECT, i was in total shock. the kid at first was kind of hesitant about doing the cuts but i told him it was for my moms HT setup im building for her. he couldnt do all the cuts because the saw cant cut below 12" but i onyl have 3 left and my step dad offered to help me tomorrow with the circular saw. hopefully by tomorrow night ill have everything done, im so excited. btw the birch looks so classy compared to mdf. thanks for the offer chris, i may need that barn in the future though.
