Electric Locks keep locking!

When I press the unlock button from the drivers seat all the doors click once (unlock), then (click) lock again right away! I can only get the drivers door to remain unlocked. It's the same from the key fob or the switch in the car.

Any ideas?

Thanks for the quick response. I'm in Minnesota, temp dropped to below freezing again after a warm up last week. What's a BCM? To reset it can I just disconnect the battery for a few hours?

I'm not quite sure what you're asking, but the 5th gen (and maybe earlier?) has a feature that does exactly what you are claiming. If the key is in the ignition AND the driver's door is open, and you try to lock the doors, they will lock and then unlock right away so that you CANNOT lock your keys in the car (in the ignition).

From the 2002 manual:

Mine is a 1999, 4th Generation. If you try to unlock the doors, it locks all of them. Either with the key fob or the switch on the drivers arm rest. The drivers door will unlcok on first click of key fob. Second click will lock all doors (including the drivers).

Sounds like how my 3rd gen acts if I try to lock the doors with the key in the ignition.

Maybe that ignition key sensor is defective?
