Remote Start/Alarm Question

I have a '96 SE 5sp, regardless of legal issues, will a remote start system even work in my car. I know when I start my car, the clutch must be pressed to the floor before it will even attempt to turn over. I would like the remote start capability but don't neccessarly need it. I really want the pager function for the alarm but it seems that the only setups available come with remote start. My car is black on gray so in the summer it would get pretty hot inside and the Northeast has been getting some pretty crappy weather recently.

THey do have alarms wth remote starters for manuals. But they cost a little more. All they have to do is tap into your clutch and bypass the switch and that's it.Just gotta remember not to have it in gear.I have the Clifford Matrix 3.5 but that's only for autos.Check around local shops.

djmaverick- Don @Unexpected Creations is your DEI Maxima specialist. Great prices, great service. He's a true Maxima specialist.
I had my 2k2 done with a Viper Responder 690xv and my 2k1 Pathfinder with a Clifford Matrix 3.5 remote start.

My buddy (renatonetmail) just had his 95 manual done- he's very stoked and didn't have to wait long

BTW- The Clifford Responder series has something integrated that doesnt allow your car to turn on if left in gear-so no worries there

Thanks for the info. Unfortunatly Edison is about 3-3.5 hours away from me. I'm in the Philly area so something local would be nice. I looked into both the Clifford and the Viper and I think I like the Clifford better.... dunno yet.

Your in the Philly area and Edison is 3-3.5 Hours away? Might be looking at the wrong Edsion, last time I went to Philly it took about 40-60 mins. Just.. FYI

Thanks Manny for the kind words, after doing well over 150 Maximas I think I got the hang of it.

Everyday so far this winter I've regretted the fact of not getting the remote start on my manual
