yes! another member with my amp Im currently trying to purchase an avalanche 18 thatll do the trick...yes 18 inches Chad the owner recommends a 6 cubic feet or more for a ported enclosure but if you want something crazy Id say this one. The price isnt expensive by any means. I currently run a JBL GTI with that amp and it sounds very good. although its only sending 600watts to it. capable of 1400rms easy. anyhow hope this helps

hmm i feel like that amp is overrated but either way its enough juice for any AA sub. what is your budget and what are you looking to get out of your substage?

overrated not too sure because i bought mine for pretty cheap, but it was before the standard rms output thing. because im not sure why they would make a amp that big for 1600rms only

CEA is a joke anyway. despite the generalization, size does not always matter.

I was reading on soundillusions about the avalanche subwoofer, this one guy sent 3000rms @ 1 ohm and still couldnt fry it. According to him i think he said it burped 30 times, and still no smell of a coil. When i do get this sub ill be sending it about 1600rms @ 1 ohm...

i'd still be careful about sending that much power to that sub. it's rated at 800 rms.

Excellent choice. I woiuld say go with either one of those or something from Adire, two great companies IMHO. Can't go wrong with either one of them. The nice thing about the Adire's is that they utilize the XBL2 engine which allows them to drive hellua good excursions with even the weakest of electrical input.

little correction there, XBL2 allows very good linear movement even at high excursion levels. that's why drivers with XBL2 can still sound very clean at high volumes.

Can't go wrong with either one, but AA is just as good if not better. Plus you can also put some money towards the box you will need to build, which is going to be HUGE with a sub like that.
