there is a maroon max with 2 12's and an amp on each side of the trunk.. who is it?? i want to do a box like it and wanted to ask a quick question on the install..

 

was it a third gen? if so it's andrew91se those subs are jl 12w6

 

nah it was a 4th gen..

 

I haven't seen the one you mentioned but as I have ripped apart and cut out a large portion of my 4th gen trunk, why not ask the question?

 

basically i just wanted to talk to someone about ideas for a custom box and amp rack.. i have already built the basic sealed enclosure for 2 12's out of MDF, it's in my basement now.. but i wanted to ask about an amp rack idea of stepping them up on one side, or how to make the box unique and carpeting ideas...

 

to make the box unique - make it yourself, or sign it, or both. Carpet and vynil? Either do it or don't, it's purely an aesthetic thing - other than maybe a minor improvement of the diffraction of the regular box surface. If you have already built the box install it already so you can get on to the next stage - tuning.

 

Look up XtantMax is set up is tight

 

5cu ft....measured the tirewell over...its fiberglassed, volumn is about 1.8-2 cuft.... it's tore out of my trunk now though it was like 30wide/25long/6high...

 

please. I know your system.. this was not bottomed out.. it was straight up 2 JL's facing straight back with fosgate amps on each side of the trunk i think..
