Which components would be better

I am looking for speakers for my 2005 maxima and these are the two that I am thinking about putting in the front doors.

The MB Quart Reference RCE216 6 3/4

or the Polk Audio MMC6500 6 1/2

I would go with the MB Quarts personally. The nice thing about crutchfield is if you install them and don't like them, they will take them back and you can get the polks or go elsewhere and buy.

talk to pearl96max, for that kind of money I believe you can purchase entry level or mid level focals, rainbows, arc etc...

You might consider finding a place to actually listen to them. No one here can tell you which one you'll like better.

+1 go to shops and listen, especially with quarts since a lot of people find their highs too bright. Theyre both nice sets of speakers. And +1 on pm'ing Don first about some rainbows or something.

I was actually looking into to getting MB Quart components when I owned my Grand Prix and ended up getting Focals which im trying to sell now since I no longer own that car. I was told several times that the MB quarts tweeters reproduce harsh highs, and that Focals sounded better, listened to some low end Focals and fell in love. Just know that Rockford Fosgate owns MB Quart now, actually has for some time. Obviously I would go with Focals, but I have heard great things about Polk momo's. Listen to them at a car audio shop though, all speakers sound different and what might not sound good to someone else might sound beautiful to you it all depends on what you like.

Also try to stay with the same speakers all around. Best of luck in picking speakers.

We have MB Quart PCE's in front and RCE's in the rear of my Dad's car.

They are really nice and the highs really aren't harsh like most people say IMHO.
