Depends on what you're trying to do. You want ghetto bass? You want accurate, tight-sounding bass? Go to the Kicker website and look at the enclosure specs for each speaker size, composition, etc. then compare it to what's being offered on eBay. A sealed box has certain dimensions you want to make sure you stay within to get the most out of that speaker (I'm probably going to get the same sub myself - definitely a KICKER fan, bro ). A vented box will be twice as big (unless you get a custom job done), but will produce that serious ghetto bass.

what they said. a sealed box will give you the best SQ, the bass will be nice and tighter than a ported box. a ported box will give you more spl for the same amount of power, but the box will take up more space. it's really down to self preferences.
what kind of music do you usually listen to?

im a mix kind of guy. Hard rock when im going fast and rap when i want people to see me. Its not easy being a pimp. I used to have 2 kicker comp cvr 12 and those ******s would rock! the top of my maxima would wave back and forth like a big wave. those are some really good subs for the money! oh by the way the reason i dont have them any more is because i had a wreck and there gone now so is the car oh well got me a 01 I30! Yea much nicer thanks
