Don is the MAN, that's who Don is!

But seriously, his name is Pearl96Max. My guess is he wouldn't recommend that Pioneer HU you're lookin at, but you can ask him directly. He'll be able to help you out with everything else.

Theres a ton of stuff that will sound good. You gotta be a little more specific. Whats your budget? What would be your future plan/goal with your system? You have 6.5 inch speakers all the way around. Will you be using the head unit to power them?

Don will most likely say (and i agree) that Eclipse is far better than Pioneer, and if you are paying anywhere near the cardomain price for that deck, you can get much better for the price. But if you are getting a deal on that one or something....if you havent had much in the past and this will be far better than other decks youve had, then you wont notice a difference.

And with that 800-1200 you want a head unit and 4 speakers? a 4 channel amp? a sub and a mono amp? everything?

Assuming you want a whole setup...
With 1200 heres what Id get:
Eclipse CD5425 - $300ish
CDT CL61a - $150 @thezeb
Adire Audio Shiva - $125 @adireaudio
Arc Audio 4150xxk - $450 (used)
Spend the remaining 175 on wires and a nice box.

So anyway, on topic, 1200 can usually get you a whole lot if you shop around, and you can have a really nice system that will blow others out of the water. But thats pretty much a sound quality system that Id set up with no rears which is my preference, it all depends what you want, change that around a little if you want more SPL (i.e. pure bass) or if you want rear fill or whatever your preferences are. Theres a lot out there, so shop around, check out some forums, elitecaraudio.com, soundillusions.net, caraudioforum.com, etc, and dont hesitate to post back up if you have doubts, we'll tell you whats good or not so good.

If Don doesnt see this you should def pm him and see what kind of deals he can get you.
