Speaker Rewiring?

I just got a set of 220 watt (front and back) sony xplod speakers. I'm planning on getting the alpine 9847 head unit...will I have to rewire the speakers or anything like that to make the system sound better? If I just replace the stock head unit with the alpine, will this be enough to obtain the optimum sound?

Thanks

If you dont have Bose, then no, no rewire of any kind is needed.

If you have bose:
Theres an amp at each speaker. The wiring into the amp is power, ground, a (+) speaker wire, and a (-) speaker wire. Those speaker wires come straight from your head unit. So tap into these speaker wires before each bose amp, and get a few 6 inch or so piece of speaker wire, and connect them to each speaker, so that youll bypass bose completely.
