which speakers to get?
which speakers to get?
i am a nub to the whole audio thing. i have the stock speakers in right now, not bose, factory and the SUCK. i wanted to change them but had no idea where to start looking so i thouhgt i'd ask you guys. i want a nice sounding set of speakers. subs are to much for me so i just want speakers. wats a nice set? and would i need to get a headunit or amp to get more power out of them?
For your front i say go with a component system
My infinity kappa perfect 6.1 speakers are amazing! Espcially if you amplify them, they sound like God singing. In the rear I have Polk MMC650 speakers, and are they an absoutly amazing set for the price. Go to crutchfield.com to research, but see if you can find them for a cheaper price. Have fun, PM me if you need any help.

My suggestion.
6.5" Memphis M-Class Component set
6x9" Memphis M-Class co-axial
50x4 Memphis M-Class AB amp
Memphis has great mids and bass. If you use the amp, you won't need subs. The speakers hit hard as it is. Plus, the cone is made out of Kevlar, and the surround is a strong rubber. So they'll last a long time. The component set on the front will keep the highs sounding clear.

You want an amazing setup?? MB Quart Premium PCE-216 6.5" components up front and MB Quart Discus DKE-216 Coaxials for the rear and run them with a JL Audio 300/4.
Thats the setup I have in my car...I now have them running off the deck, but I have the JL waiting to be installed this weekend!
